        The Council is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers who are able to maintain and service the trees within the Borough of Rotherham. The successful supplier/s will be required to provide a professional, timely and efficient service and be able to accommodate quick unscheduled works, as well as a 24 hour 7 day a week emergency service throughout the Borough of Rotherham.

        The specification of tasks include, but is not limited to:

        — emergency works,

        — clearing out fallen timber,

        — crown reduction and reshaping,

        — stump treatment,

        — tree inspection,

        — specific branch removal and reduction,

        Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council provides a high quality arboriculture service which is vital to maintain a tree and woodland-rich environment supporting as many amenity, landscape, wildlife, economic, cultural and social benefits as possible for all the residents of Rotherham.

        The Council is directly responsible for an extensive tree population, including approximately 6 000 roadside trees and elsewhere a further estimated 70 000 individual trees, for example in housing estates, parks and open spaces.

        The Council is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers who are able to maintain and service the trees within the Borough of Rotherham.
