ITT for Occupancy Sensing Equipment and Related Software.
UCL is highly space constrained both in teaching space and learning spaces. It is not possible to easily increase the number and size of teaching spaces or learning spaces. This means UCL needs to ensure high utilisation of these assets and ensure students can find out where any free learning spaces are located.
UCL require a solution to detect and report human occupancy in teaching, learning and staff spaces within its Estate along with the capability to store information to UCL"s data warehouse.
UCL is issuing this tender to select a supplier to provide Occupancy Sensing equipment and related software that provides information to UCL staff and students for occupancy of learning and teaching spaces to increase safe efficiency. Information that the solution is required to produce for these spaces are:
(a) The utilisation of teaching spaces and in particular when these have been booked but not used.
(b) Where any available learning spaces are located.
In addition, UCL is seeking to.
In addition, UCL is seeking to increase the utilisation of staff desks and the chosen technology should be capable of measuring the utilisation of office spaces by detecting whether an office desk is being used at a point in time. Ideally the technology should be portable to enable it to be moved between office spaces as required.
The solution including hardware and software must have a guaranteed maintenance period of 10 years.
The specification detailing UCL"s full requirements is set out in the ITT.
