        SCC is looking to let a multi lot supplier framework for an initial integrated programme of travel demand management within Bridgwater the purpose of the programme is to:

        — deal with road safety risks, particularly for non-motorised users such as pedestrians and cyclists,

        — maximise the opportunities for managing travel, in particular to encourage modal shift through increased levels of walking and cycling,

        — achieve reliability and consistency of journey times across the Hinkley Point C (HPC) HGV corridors during construction of HPC.

        It is anticipated that this framework will be used beyond this programme to support the delivery of travel demand projects and programmes that Somerset County Council may wish to deliver in addition to this to be used by members of the South West Highways Alliance.
