AFBI carries out high technology research and development, statutory, analytical, and diagnostic testing functions for DARD and other Government departments, public bodies and commercial companies. AFBI are currently seeking to purchase mobile in field concentrate feed intake and behaviour monitoring equipment to be located at AFBI Hillsborough. The feed station must be suitable for a range of livestock weights from 75-800 kg and allow the assessment of individual concentrate intakes. After the initial 1 year period, there are 9 options to extend for maintenance only.

The following text was published in the Contract Notice for this competition: CPD will comply with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and, where appropriate, will incorporate a standstill period (i.e. a minimum of 10 calendar days) at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the award decision. This provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into.
