        Open procedureJustification:

Due to an unforeseen strategic development at another campus, the Scottish Centre for Regenerative Medicine (SCRM) project at Little France has become the focus of additional research demands, requiring its Biomedical research facilities (BRF) wash up area to be substantially upgraded and returned to use by July 2018. This will facilitate the closure and demolition of another unit, including its BRF wash-up area, to make way for the University"s New Biology development at King"s Buildings. Current animal stocks will transfer to SCRM to ensure continuity of research and the utmost in animal welfare. Since the BRF Wash-up Area of SCRM lacks capacity to accommodate the substantial increase of stocking density resulting from the transfer, new Wash-up Area equipment is urgently needed to meet this requirement, and to remain compliant with rigorous Home Office PELh requirements.
